Given the growing world trend towards IP-based multimedia communications and the desire for every country to introduce its own native and customized model, proper evaluation of IP- based equipment for final type-approval is a major issue for the regulatory bodies. NGSTAP's objective is to develop a central and reference platform to accommodate all types of (or a variety of) evaluation scenarios. Test operators affiliated to different entities including government organizations, industry, research institutes, etc. can be connected to the platform and create their desired test procedures. This versatile reference platform is beneficial to the next generation system developers, importers and operators to enable them to achieve the highest quality of service.

description
NGSTAP is a type approval system for Performance and functional testing. NGSTAP is a service oriented platform. This platform is applicable in the test and type approval projects to develop some tests independently and in parallel. This platform has various modules for definition, creation, running, monitoring and reporting of the different test scenarios. This platform has been designed based on IMS model and with a look to the future.
NGSTAP architecture has been designed with a service oriented approach which presents services for test scenario design, test scenario creation, test scenario run and preparation of reports. Test scenarios are protocol independent and system runs them according to the selected protocol. The following are highlighted Technical Specifications:
• Call related test with different protocols including SIP, H.248, RTP and SIGTRAN.
• Protocol independent design and creation of test scenarios
• Internet based running and online monitoring of the test operations
• 3rd Party software design using web service
• Extendable and scalable hardware and software to achieve a high performance system
• Equipped with SIP Tester, Reporter, Logger, Admin and Script Manager software.
