ICT Policies and Strategic Studies
Overview
This is a newly established division that has emerged after the dissolution of the division of Strategic Management Research and its associated sub-divisions In 2013. It is devoting its research activities towards study and adoption of new & emerging knowledge-based technologies aimed at sustainable development as well as generation of revenue and national wealth. The division has thus more closely aligned itself with the re-definition of the country’s strategic ICT mission and current policy priorities, and is tasked with the realization of the ICT sector's master plan.

- Studying on ICT Policies, foresighting law, entrepreneurship and digital economy
- Providing consultation in the fields of ICT strategic studies, regulations and digital economy for the Ministry of ICT and its affiliated organizations
- Executing basic and applied R&D projects with regard to ICT policies & strategic studies, including business models in Iran's cyberspace, diverse appendices for National Information Network, as well as technology foresighting
- Setting up and managing ICT Science & Technology Park for technology transfer & commercialization, as well as foreign direct investments & domestic investments
