GPON Optical Access Systems Lab
This Lab will provide testing capabilities for Optical Access Systems and Networks. Approving performance of the optical access equipment and networks will be one of the main activities in this laboratory. Type approval tests will be according to:
- Optical access networks and systems equipped with the GPON technology and capacity of up to 2.5Gbps
- Optical access systems and networks with P-to-P Ethernet technology and the capacity of up to 10Gbps
Another objectives of this lab are increasing the quality of the laboratory tests according to ITU and IEEE recommendations and standards as well as verifying and completing the test procedures. Other main aspect of this Lab is providing research services to universities and companies.
