Main Activities:

  • Helping design and optimization of satellite communication systems and sub-systems, both in space segments and terrestrial parts
  • Design & optimization of satellite communication systems and sub-systems, both in space segments and terrestrial parts, for ICT ministry and Iran Space Agency
  • Development of satellite communication standards, both in space segments and terrestrial parts
  • Supporting  private companies to lead them toward satellite communication projects
  • Providing educational services in satellite communication technologies in short term courses and workshops

Accomplished Projects:

  • Fabrication of first LEO satellite for scientific purposes (Mesbah-1)
  • Design and fabrication of the first Ku-band transponder and antenna  for GEO satellite
  • Design and fabrication of the control and monitoring system for GEO satellite
  • Design and fabrication of  SCPC-DAMA satellite ground stations network
  • Design and fabrication of TT&C subsystem of Mesbah LEO satellite
  • Design and fabrication of TT&C ground station of Mesbah LEO satellite

Ongoing Projects:

  • Design, fabrication and test of a high efficiency engineering model of a SSPA in Ku-band for GEO communication satellite  applications
  • Establishment of a satellite communication lab.
  • Design, fabrication and test of a L-band, C-band and Ku-band satellite ground station networks for Narrow-band IoT/IoE applications
  • Study on Ku-band  and Ka-band broadband satellite ground station networks for 5G back-up, back-haul applications
  • Study on technical  & standard requirements for IoT/IoE Ecosystems
  • Providing a road map for strategic plans of IoT/IoE in Iran
